Music Club w/ After The Bomb Baby!

We recently had our 4th Music Club program. This one featured a local band called After The Bomb, Baby! I'm not sure who had more fun - the parents or the kids. Either way, we all got to learn about some new instruments, and of course how to dance to the 'Backwards Frankenstein", a song that kids were singing all the way home I'm sure.

...After learning about the vocoder and a new dance!

Guest vocals for the song "Viper."

A special guest recording a sample for the magic glove!

And of course all the kids had to hear "Doing the Backwards Frankenstein" one more time!

Thanks again to After The Bomb, Baby!

Music Club with After The Bomb Baby! July 26th

Our special guest for this July 26th Music Club program is electro-punk party band After the Bomb, Baby! ATBB's eclectic multi-instrumental lineup includes guitar, bass, electronic and acoustic drums, four synthesizers, bongos, a trombone, and even a cowbell. For this installment of Music Club, the band will demonstrate how each individual musical instrument in the band contributes to form a complete song. The program will showcase ATBB’s most fun, danceable tunes and children will be invited to try out the instruments themselves!
Music Club is geared towards children ages 8-12, although children ages 6-14 may attend. We’ll explore different types of music, and learn about particular artists / composers, instruments and theory. And we'll have special guest performers and speakers!

Join us in the Hicks Auditorium on the conference level of the Main Library for this event on July 26th at 4pm.
