Spring Storytime

Spring has sprung at the library!

The Gardener Plants the Seeds
The gardener plants the seeds,
The gardener plants the seeds,
Hi ho the derry oh
The gardener plants the seeds.
The rain begins to fall...
The sun comes out to shine...
The seeds begin to grow...
The flowers open wide...

Three green and speckled frogs
Three green and speckled frogs
Sat on a speckled log
Eating the most delicious bugs
YUM!! YUM!!
One jumped into the pool,
Where it was nice and cool,
Now there are 2 green, speckled frogs
2,1.

Shake my sillies out
Gonna shake, shake, shake my sillies out,
Shake, shake, shake my sillies out,
Shake, shake, shake my sillies out,
And wiggle my waggles away.
Clap my crazies out
Jump my jiggles out
Yawn my sleepies out

The Ants Go Marching
The ants go marching one by one, hurrah, hurrah
The ants go marching one by one, hurrah, hurrah
The ants go marching one by one,
The little one stops to suck his thumb
And they all go marching down to the ground
To get out of the rain, BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Two Little Blackbirds
Two little blackbirds sitting on the hill
One named Jack and one named Jill
Fly away, Jack! Fly away, Jill
Come back, Jack! Come back, Jill
Two little blackbirds sitting on the hill
One named Jack and one named Jill

Creatures in the Garden
Slowly, slowly, very slowly,
Goes the garden snail.
Slowly, slowly, very slowly,
Up the garden rail.
Quickly, quickly, very quickly
Quickly runs the little mouse
Quickly, quickly, very quickly
All around the house.
Slowly, slowly, very slowly
Creeps the garden turtle
Slowly, slowly, very slowly
Through the garden myrtle.
Quickly, quickly, very quickly
Quickly runs the little rabbit
Quickly, quickly, very quickly
That's his everyday habit.

The UmbrellaThe first umbrella is red, it keeps rain off my head
The second umbrella is yellow for a very lucky fellow
The third umbrella is blue, it is the one I drew
The fourth umbrella is brown, I will carry it to town
The fifth umbrella is green, fit for a king or a queen.
