Caldecott winner

The Caldecott Medal was named in honor of nineteenth-century English illustrator Randolph Caldecott. It is awarded annually by the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association, to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children.

--- Basically, the Caldecott Medal is for the best picture book of the previous year. ---

Celebrate the 75th year of the Caldecott Award by reading this year's winner- This is Not my hat by Jon Klassen.

To explore more Caldecott winners, visit the ALA's Caldecott website or stop by your library to pick up a flier with a full listing of the winners.
